In a recently concluded press conference at Epicura Home’s headquarters in Los Angeles, California, Katie Townes, Spokesperson, revealed recipes that are healthy using silicone baking mats. The company, during the conference, had manifested to support the upcoming Good Nutrition Month this November. Aside from recipe sharing, the company gave away further information about its baking mats.

Silicone baking mats do not require any oil or butter in baking or cooking which leads to a healthy eating. Using oils and butter can lead to cholesterol and fat deposits on the arteries of the body leading to many diseases like high blood pressure, high cholesterol levels, heart disease and stroke.

Easy Healthy Recipes Using Silicone Baking Mats

  1. Oven Roasted Vegetables. This can be made by using various vegetables like bell pepper, red onion, squash, courgettes, aubergine, tomatoes, leeks and garlic. Cut all the vegetables into desired slices while preheating the oven at 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Put all the sliced vegetables in the tray layered by the silicone baking mat. Roast the veggies in the oven for around 50 minutes or until soft, golden and cooked well.  This healthy recipe is packed with vitamins and minerals from vegetables and no oil was used in the process.

  1. Baked Cinnamon Apple Chips. This recipe is easy to do using the baking sheet. All that is needed are slices of apples that were cut crosswise until you achieve circles of thin layers of apple, cinnamon powder and sugar. Place them on the baking mat and sprinkle cinnamon powder and sugar on both sides. Bake them at the oven for 2.5 hours at a temperature of 200 degrees Fahrenheit.

  1. Oven Baked Chicken Breast with Apples and Cabbage. The antioxidant content of apple and cabbage are to be considered when cooking. The ingredients needed are chicken breasts, onion, cabbage, one red and one golden apple, unsweetened apple juice, apple cider vinegar, mustard, rosemary, salt and pepper. In an oven dish, overlay it with the silicone baking mat and fill about 1/3 of shredded cabbage, then onions and apples. In a mixing bowl, apple cider vinegar, apple juice, mustard and salt are mixed and poured over the chicken, apples and cabbage. Cook for an hour and this recipe is one of the healthiest because of using apple cider vinegar which has many health benefits.
