Vladimir Putin Wished Maria Komissarova Speedy Recovery From Her Injury On The Ski Cross Course Today

The President wished speedy recovery to Maria Komissarova, member of the Russian freestyle ski team who was injured today during training on the ski cross course in Sochi.

Vladimir Putin visited the athlete in the hospital and wished her speedy recovery. The doctor briefed the President on the surgery performed and on Maria’s further treatment.

Maria Komissarova told the President that her father was worried about her, and Vladimir Putin decided to speak to him on the phone. The President assured Maria’s father that the doctors will do everything possible for her recovery.

Earlier the Russian freestyle ski federation and the Russian Olympic Committee reported that Maria Komissarova sustained a fractured vertebrae with a dislocation on Saturday. The athlete was taken to hospital immediately after the accident. The doctors examined her and decided to do the surgery, which lasted 6.5 hours.
