Russia's Ban Of Jehovah Witnesses A Bad Sign

Banning Islam's teaching to kill infidels is protective but banning JWs with no such teaching is against basic freedom - All outside our circle look extreme

Revelation 17: Harlot of Babylon

“Asked about the end of the world, Christ said to understand Daniel. His 7th chapter portrays nations and kingdoms as fierce beasts of prey. This includes the US where 60 million infants died in the womb, but a Russian bear has three ribs in its mouth—Ukraine, Georgia, Chechnya? Intolerance is a bad sign,” says Dr. Richard Ruhling, author on religious topics. - http://News4Living.wordpress.com

Jehovah’s Witnesses shuns political activity and has no record of even peaceful hostility to the Russian authorities. But since Putin began his third term in 2012 and put the Orthodox Church at the center of his push to assert Russia as a great military and moral power.

The issue could well be the Orthodox Church marginalizing first one group and then another. We should beware of this—

First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Socialist.

Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

Martin Niemoller, author and Protestant pastor, spent the last 7 years of Nazi rule in concentration camps.

Hitler was Catholic and had signed a concordat with the Vatican to make the world Catholic when he won the war. If Niemoller had been Catholic, he would have posed no problem, but “no man is free to embrace and profess that religion which he believes to be true, guided by the light of reason.” Article 15…

“The eternal salvation of any out of the true church of Christ is not even to be hoped for.” Article 17 from the Syllabus of Errors, issued by Pope Pius IX, 1864.

This explains the Roman bent to persecute Protestants in the auto de fe—act of faith when burning them at the stake in order to save their souls was one of the highest forms of worship to them.

Rome boasts “Semper Eadem,” meaning that it does not change. Jack Chick, a Protestant publisher in the US expressed it this way:

Rome in a position of weakness is as gentle as a lamb.
Rome in a position of equality is as clever as a fox.
Rome in a position of strength is as fierce as a tiger.

America has seen stage I and II but things are changing.  FEMA camps were originally approved by Pres. Reagan (Rex 84) for illegal aliens, but now aliens are fine—it’s the fundamental believers in Bible prophecy  that pose a problem to the DHS with its mostly Catholic leadership.

Richard Ruhling is not a Jehovah Witness but he writes against what’s happening to marginalize and eliminate non-Catholic or non-Orthodox religions. His websites include http://News4Living.wordpress.com and http://RichardRuhling.com
